Deadalic Entertainment bringing State of Mind to the Nintendo Switch; details, trailer, footage, screens

Deadalic Entertainment describe the game as futuristic thriller, with transhumanism as its main theme. It takes place in a world that is torn between a dystopian material reality and a utopian virtual future, and some of the themes explored include separation, disjuncture and reunification.

State of Mind will have players control several characters across two separate worlds, and explore the “existential drama that develops in a society on the brink of post-material existence”.

The main character is a man named Richard Nolan (a father and journalist from Berlin), who discovers that his family has been subject to mind upload. His wife and son’s went fine, but his failed, and he found himself living in “real-life reality”, but with an incomplete second version of his self also existing in a secret Virtual Reality project.

His goal is to reunite with both his family and his split self. Naturally, the journey will not have implications only for him but also mankind as a whole.
