Today’s Daily Briefs: physical sales down in the United Kingdom in 2016, but also…

United Kingdom

Today, Gfk shared some data for 2016 in the United Kingdom, and revealed that total physical sales for the full year were down by 13.4% in units and 13.8% in value. To be more precise, 23.7m games were sold from January 4th to January 1st, generating £776m.

There’s some good news for Nintendo, as Nintendo 3DS Software sales are actually up, quite obviously due to Pokémon Sun and Moon (though Gfk doesn’t specify that).

Jools Watsham’s Weekly Show

Yesterday, Jools Watshma from Atooi uploaded the very first episode of his new webshow. In this show, he’s going to talk about various things, such as the game he’s been playing recently, progress on development, and some random waffles.

It looks there’s several main segments:

  • What have I been playing?
  • What’s in the news?
  • What’s going on with our games, right now?
  • Random Waffles

Here’s the first episode:

VRog

A few weeks ago, ByteRocker Game talked about an update for VRog, to be released “soon”. That update is now available, presumably in Europe and North America, according to one of the developers!
