Attack on Titan: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu – Latest details and screenshots

Today, Koei-Tecmo shared some more details about Attack on Titan: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu, the adventure game based on the popular Attack on Titan series. This game has you explore an old castle in order to find a way out. The problem is: the castle is infested with titans, whose favourite food is humans.

You have to explore every nook and cranny of the castle in order to find clues and things that will help you escape. For example…

• there’s a library filled with books, including some that cannot be found anywhere else;
• there’s also a storage room, but is there anything interesting in there?
• rooms also have secrets, such as a rather intriguing shelf…
• in one of the rooms, there’s a mysterious portrait with a torn face.

The game also features various event scenes, with illustrations done by WIT Studio (who are working on the anime series).

In order to escape from the old castle, you need to cooperate with your teammates. If you ever get stuck and don’t know where to go or what to do, try to listen to what your partners have to say. Speaking of partners, you can actually chose who to explore the castle with, which allows you to take part in various events depending on the character(s) you’re with.

During your search, you will come across various items: you need to use those in order to find a way to escape. Here’s some examples:

• Small key: does it open a door somewhere?
• Cloth bag: what’s inside that bag? Something that will help you escape? Jewels? Something else?
• An old piece of paper: a mysterious sheet of paper with something written on it. Is there a clue to be found in there?
• Blue book: is there some useful information in there?
• Alcohol bottle: an empty bottle. Did the people that used to live there drink it?
• A string, rather sturdy. What could you use it for?

Finally, Koei-Tecmo mentions the Synapse Link feature, that was detailed a few weeks ago: you have to chose a series of three passwords in order to unlock a trap door. You cannot answer question blindly, because if you get even one wrong, then the way will remain shut. You need to get hints from your teammates.
