Attack on Titan 2 (Switch) releasing in March, more characters revealed

Later today, Koei-Tecmo will showcase Attack on Titan 2 during a livestream on YouTube (and NicoNico), with our very first look at actual gameplay footage. Naturally, we will make sure to update this post later, with the recording of the relevant bits. In the mean time, we already have some additional details about the game, from a press release that seemingly sent at the wrong time (it uses past tense to refer to the livestream).

First, the press release reveals that Attack on Titan 2 will be released in March in Europe and North America. Leaks from Famitsu magazine reveal that the game is also releasing in March in Japan, so it looks like we could be getting a simultaneous release worldwide.

We also have two new playable characters: Ymir and Christa Lenz. Those two are not surprising at all, since the game follows the events of the second season of the Attack on Titan anime series, and they are two key characters of that very season. But there’s also a “third” playable character… you! Or rather, the character you choose to create using the Custom Scout feature.

Here’s various not-really-new screenshots for the game, as well as artwork for Ymir and Christa:

Finally, here’s some gameplay recording from today’s livestream:

One last thing: during the livestream, it was revealed that characters would get casual clothes. Here’s those for Christa:
