Ace Attorney anime: preview for the 14th episode, rating for 12th episode

On Saturday, the 13th episode of the Ace Attorney anime series (Gyakuten Saiban: Sono “Shinjitsu” Igiari! ) aired in Japan. Called Turnabout Promise, it’s now available on Crunchyroll. As usual, Yomiuri TV uploaded the preview for the next episode on YouTube shortly after. Titled “Reunion, and Turnabout – 1st Trial”, it will not air next Saturday, but on July 9th instead (at the usual time: 5.30PM JST). The anime series is taking a break next week.

Reunion, and Turnabout – 1st Trial covers the first part of the second case of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All. In this one, Phoenix Wright goes to visit Maya Fey in Kurain village. She has received a pretty strange request from a doctor, who wants to call the spirit of a deceased nurse in order to clear his name.

It looks the anime series is not only skipping Rise from the Ashes (the extra case from the Nintendo DS release of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney), but also the first case of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All.

Finally, we have the rating for the 12th episode, which aired on June 18th. According to Video Research, it was the 9th most popular anime episode that week, with an average household rating of 3.4 (which is quite lower than last week, with 4.5).
