Ace Attorney 6: additional details from Famitsu (Saadmadhi, Athena, more), scans

Gyakuten Saiban 6Earlier today, we learned that Ace Attorney 6 would be featured in Famitsu magazine this week. Shortly after, we got a leaked scan, which allowed us to get some details about the new rival prosecutor: Nayuta Saadmadhi. Now that the magazine is available, we have even more details about the game to share with you.

The scans below show several screenshots, with Nayuta Saadmadhi going up against Apollo Justice in court. As revealed last year, Athena Cykes is back in the game, just like the Mood Matrix (which seems to work exactly like in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies). One witness is Mimi, a magician who claims she was on stage when the “incident” happened.

We also get to see the investigations parts, with Apollo and Athena investigating a place called Theater Trompe (where the incident/murder took place). It looks like Ace Attorney 6 will have more places for players to investigate, which means more possible dialogues. Of course, you can still examine the scenes from different angles.

A quick reminder: unlike in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, players will be free to investigate where and when they want during the investigation parts (just like in previous mainline entries up until the 5th one): it’s something that was revealed in a previous report. The Investigation Memo is another element making its comeback: introduced in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, it prevents players from getting stuck.

Some other minor details from Famitsu: the magazine asks whether the events happening in Japan and Kurain Kingdom are actually linked, and confirms Nayuta Saadmadhi is indeed from that country (which was pretty obvious). In one of the screenshots, Mimi says “So you saw my instant teleportation magic?”.

Here’s the scans from Famitsu magazine:

Ace Attorney 6 (3DS) will be released this year in Japan. A European and North American release has already been confirmed.
